The Family Jewels | As Jóias Da Família

                      The Family Jewels (As Jóias Da Família, tradução livre) teve sua origem depois que Felype, Yara e eu estávamos numa loja de roupas cujo nome não citarei, pois não estou sendo patrocinado (rs). Achei o vestido e pensei imediatamente na cena icônica das gêmeas do filme O Iluminado e, após ambos experimentarem e gostarem do caimento da peça, resolveram levar e fiquei todo animado com a possibilidade de um ensaio todo conceitual encima do vestido. O nome é mais uma homenagem a um álbum da Marina And The Diamonds. Vou explicar o conceito do ensaio na minha visão no final do post para não estragar a experiência da série fotográfica. Sinceramente espero que gostem, pois coloquei muito da minha paixão e criatividade nesse ensaio. Se gostar, deixa um comentário no post ou vai me amar nas redes sociais (rs).

                      The Family Jewels was created after Felype, Yara and I were at a famous clothing store which the name I'm not going to tell because they aren't paying me (haha). I found the dresses you're going to see in the images bellow and I immediately thought of the iconic scene of the twins in the movie The Shining and, after both of them have tried the dresses out and like how it looked on their bodies, they decided to buy it. The name of this series is a tribute (again) by one of Marina And The Diamond's album. I will explain more about the concept I have created to this photoshoot at the end of this post so I can't ruin your experience.                     O conceito por trás das fotos, na minha visão, é sobre "um garoto que nunca superou a morte de sua irmã, por isso usava seu vestido constantemente após sua morte. O menino achava que isso o aproximava dela, além do mesmo ainda possuir seu cheiro. "

                   Outra visão também ligada a esse ensaio é que "a garota sempre fora uma curiosa nata e que gostava de brincar com o oculto, já que possuía uma sensibilidade exacerbada para sentir a presença de espíritos e, por ser muito apegada ao irmão, sempre o fizera acompanhá-la enquanto ela tentava contactar os mortos como uma espécie de brincadeira. O menino sempre fora medroso, porém sua irmã sempre o convencera a participar.
                    Um dia, a menina ouvira de um dos espíritos que, uma vez "do outro lado", o eterno lhe pertenceria e, como tinha certeza que gostaria de ficar para sempre ao lado do irmão, ela pediu para que ele a matasse, para que ela pudesse retornar como um fantasma e cuidar dele pro resto da eternidade. O garoto relutou, mas, acabou acatando por ter a irmã como a pessoa que ele mais respeitava."
                     Um agradecimento especialíssimo ao Felype e à Yara que sempre compram minhas ideias e sempre respeitaram minha criatividade. Amo muito vocês. Agradeço imensamente à Gabriela que permitiu que fotografássemos na sua casa. Deu tudo muito certo! Eu havia pensado no ensaio e logo o Felype me disse que poderíamos fotografar na casa dela.                       The concept behind the images, in my mind, is about "a boy that didn't get over the death of his sister so he wears her favorite dress everywhere he goes so he can feel her next to him."
                      Another vision about this series is that "the girl has always been a curious person who used to like to play with the ocult, since she was sensitive when it comes to feel spirits around her. She always brought her brother with her when she wanted to comunicated with the voices she heard. He has always been afraid of the games she used to play, but he always came with her because of the admiration he felt about his sister.
                       Once, the girl heard one of the voices saying that people can live forever on "the other side" and as she was sure that she wanted to take care of her brother for the rest of eternity, she asked him to murder her, but she promissed to come back to him. He hesitated, but he ended up doing as she said, because he respected and admired his sister too much."
                        I wanna send special thanks to my friends Felype and Yara who always support my crazy ideas and always respect my creativity as an artist. I do love you both. I hugely thank Gabriela who allowed us to photograph at her house. Everything worked out so perfectly as I wanted! I had the idea of the photoshoot and Felype just told me he had this friend who was the kindest and would borrow us the house for this crazy idea. Thank you very much, Gabbu! ♥
